TreeLink Woodland Group
TreeLink Stirling’s Woodland Management Group aims to improve neglected woods in the Stirling Council area by supporting local communities to get involved in management of local woods.
We are discussing with Stirling Council the possibility of helping to manage a small area of woodland near Stirling City Centre as a community demonstration and meeting site. Activities are likely to involve removing invasive species, coppicing, enrichment tree planting and path work, as well as events to help connect people to woodlands. We have the Council's permission to remove invasive Himalayan Balsam and have already started to remove it. Once we have a management agreement in place, further events will be listed on our website and ebulletin.
