About the event
The tree planting at the Stirling Rugby Club has finished we require volunteers for mulching around the trees.
There is already a huge pile of bark chipping mulch at the rugby club, it just needs to be barrowed and tipped.
Mulching is adding a layer of material, in this case bark, to the surface of soil. We apply mulch to conservation of soil moisture, improving fertility and health of the soil, reducing weed growth, and enhancing the visual appeal of the area. We want to give the new trees the best chance to thrive.
If you have a wheelbarrow, please bring it along - we have spades, but bring your own if you prefer.
The Rugby Club has toilet facilities but please bring a drink to hydrate, especialy if it's hot.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
