About the event

Himalayan Balsam is an invasive non-native plant species which shades out and crowds out many native plants.

TreeLink Stirling has been given permission by NatureScot to work to remove Himalayan Balsam from Balquhidderock Wood (Bluebellwood). Over the coming months our volunteers will be pulling the balsam plants out of the ground before they are able to shed seed. Over time we hope to reduce the extent of balsam in the woodland.

This woodland is very special, and we want to keep it that way.  Join us in removing this plant - we would advise wearing long sleeves, appropriate footwear, wear gloves and bring refreshments.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.
